Getting Started

Sign up, then follow the guided setup: import or add your vehicles, connect your Turo calendar, connect Stripe for payouts, and set your rental policy. Most hosts are fully live the same day. If you'd rather have someone walk you through it, book a 45-minute demo first.

For a small fleet (1-5 vehicles), most hosts finish in under an hour: add vehicles through the guided step-by-step flow, connect Stripe, and connect your Turo calendar. Larger fleets take longer mainly because of vehicle data entry, not because the platform is complex.

No. RentHive syncs with your Turo calendar, so every Turo booking blocks those dates on your direct calendar and booking widget automatically. Most hosts run both side by side and gradually shift repeat guests toward booking direct, where there's no commission.

Yes. The guided vehicle setup lets you add each vehicle's details, photos, and pricing. It's built to be fast to re-enter from an existing Turo listing, saving as you go so you never lose progress partway through.

Just your vehicle details (make, model, year, photos) and a Stripe account for payouts, if you don't already have one, you can create one during setup. Guest ID and insurance verification are handled automatically once you're live, no separate account needed.

RentHive doesn't require a credit card to explore the platform during setup. You're billed once you activate a paid plan. Talk to our team if you'd like a guided walkthrough before committing.

Account & Billing

Starter is $99/month for up to 10 vehicles, Growth is $199/month for up to 50 vehicles, and Enterprise is custom pricing for larger fleets. Every plan includes guest verification, rental protection, payments, and messaging, none of it is a paid add-on.

No, never on direct bookings. Your one flat monthly subscription is the only fee. Payments go straight to your connected Stripe account.

Switching to yearly billing gives you 2 months free, you pay for 10 months and get 12. Starter drops to $83/month billed as $990/year, and Growth drops to $166/month billed as $1,990/year.

Yes. You can move between Starter, Growth, and Enterprise at any time as your fleet grows. There's no penalty for upgrading, and no long-term contract locking you into a tier you've outgrown.

Cancel any time from your account settings. There's no lock-in and no cancellation fee. Your subscription stays active through the end of the current billing period, and you can export your bookings, guests, and history before you go.

Your RentHive subscription itself is billed through Stripe, the same processor used for your guest payouts. This is separate from the Stripe Connect account guests pay into, your subscription payment method doesn't affect how guest payments reach you.

You won't be silently charged. If you're approaching or exceeding your plan's vehicle limit (10 on Starter, 50 on Growth), you'll be prompted to upgrade to the next tier before adding more vehicles.

Booking & Calendar

RentHive pulls in your Turo calendar so that a booking made on Turo blocks those same dates in RentHive automatically. This runs in the background, there's nothing to manually refresh, and the calendar shows a synced status so you can see it's current.

No. Once a booking is confirmed on Turo, RentHive pulls it in and blocks those dates on your direct booking widget and calendar automatically, so a Turo reservation can't be double-booked through your direct site.

Yes. On top of the Turo sync, RentHive supports two-way sync with Google Calendar and Apple Calendar, so bookings, blocks, and maintenance windows show up wherever you already check your schedule.

Yes, from the calendar you can block any vehicle for any date range, for maintenance, personal use, or anything else, using the same drag-and-drop timeline you use to view and move bookings.

There's no platform-imposed cap, you control the booking window per vehicle through your calendar and pricing settings. Guests booking through your direct widget see only the availability you've opened up.

Yes, the calendar is drag-and-drop: you can move a booking to different dates or resize its length directly from the timeline view, without leaving the calendar or contacting the guest through a separate tool first.

Payments & Payouts

You connect your own Stripe account during setup. Guest payments for direct bookings are processed through Stripe Connect and paid out straight to your bank account, RentHive never holds your money.

Payout speed follows your connected Stripe account's own payout schedule (standard Stripe payout timing applies), since funds move directly from the guest's payment to your Stripe balance and then to your bank.

Security deposits are held, captured, and refunded automatically through the platform. You set the deposit amount per vehicle or booking, and RentHive handles placing the hold and releasing it based on the trip's outcome.

Yes, RentHive supports a manual or cash payment option for bookings where you want to record payment outside of Stripe, alongside standard Stripe Connect payments for everything else.

Yes, charges, payment links, and invoices are all available through your connected Stripe account, useful for extra charges, custom quotes, or guests who need to pay outside the standard booking flow.

You capture some or all of the held deposit based on your assessment after the trip. The capture and refund flow runs through your connected Stripe account, giving you a clear record of what was charged and why.

Guest Verification & Protection

Through Stripe Identity. A guest verifies their government ID and a live selfie match before their booking is confirmed, giving you the same level of ID verification a marketplace would run, without you having to check it manually.

RentHive verifies active auto insurance coverage through Canopy Connect in seconds, no phone calls to a guest's insurer required. This runs as part of the standard booking flow, not a separate manual step.

A booking that fails ID or insurance verification doesn't get confirmed as a completed, protected trip in the same way, giving you the information you need to decide whether to proceed, request more information, or decline the booking.

Yes, live GPS tracking is included on every plan via Smartcar, letting you see exactly where a vehicle is in real time from your dashboard, no separate hardware purchase required beyond what Smartcar's integration supports.

Every trip is backed by rental protection through Rental Cover, plus additional commercial-grade coverage through GWS Insurance sitting behind every vehicle in your fleet. This is included in your subscription, not a per-trip add-on purchase.

No. Guest ID verification, insurance verification, rental protection, and commercial-grade coverage are all included as part of your RentHive subscription, there's no separate insurance product to shop for or activate.

Guest Messaging

Yes, Direct, SMS, and email messages all land in the same combined inbox, so you're not tab-hopping between apps to figure out who asked what. Every message thread also shows the guest's full booking history alongside it.

Yes. RentHive can auto-reply to common guest questions (pickup times, mileage limits, fuel policy), send pickup instructions and lockbox codes automatically, and trigger messages based on booking status, so replies go out even while you're asleep or mid-handoff.

Yes, save and reuse your own message templates, or start from prebuilt defaults, so you're not retyping the same answer to the same question from every guest.

Guest messaging costs are part of your RentHive subscription, there's no separate per-message charge to you as the host for using the combined inbox across Direct, SMS, and email.

Fleet Management

Use the guided step-by-step setup: enter the vehicle's basics, upload and reorder photos with a cover shot, set pricing and discount tiers, then choose any extras. Progress saves automatically as you go, so you can pick up where you left off.

Yes, each vehicle has its own daily rate along with weekly and monthly discount tiers, so pricing reflects that specific vehicle rather than one flat rate across your whole fleet.

FleetIT is a third-party integration that automates toll tracking for your vehicles, so tolls incurred during a guest's trip are tracked without you manually cross-referencing toll authority statements against your booking calendar.

Yes, photos support drag-to-reorder, and you can set any uploaded photo as the cover shot shown first to potential guests.

Yes, extras are configured per vehicle during setup and shown to guests as optional add-ons at checkout, alongside your base daily rate and any weekly or monthly discounts.

Rental Agreements

Yes, RentHive captures an e-signature on every booking against the rental and cancellation policy you write in a full rich-text policy editor, no printed paperwork or separate e-signature tool required.

Yes, per-vehicle policy overrides are available when a specific vehicle needs different terms than the rest of your fleet.

No. Terms are locked in as a snapshot at the moment of booking, so editing your policy later never retroactively changes what a guest already signed for a completed or upcoming trip.

Analytics & Reporting

Revenue, bookings, and fleet utilization at a glance, updated the moment a trip ends, along with a breakdown of how much direct bookings are saving you in commission compared to marketplace fees.

Yes, expense management with receipts is available on Growth and Enterprise plans, letting you log costs against a specific vehicle rather than tracking them separately outside the platform.

Advanced reporting and API access are available on the Enterprise plan for teams that need to pull data into their own systems rather than relying solely on the in-app dashboard views.

Troubleshooting

First check the calendar sync status shown on your booking calendar, if it shows anything other than synced, disconnect and reconnect your Turo calendar from settings. If it still doesn't resolve, contact support through the form on this page with your account email and we'll look into it directly.

Payouts run through your connected Stripe account, so first check your Stripe dashboard directly for the payout status and any flagged issues (like an unverified bank account). If Stripe shows everything is fine but you still don't see the booking reflected, contact support with the booking details.

Use the "forgot password" link on the login page to receive a reset email. If you don't receive it within a few minutes, check your spam folder before contacting support.

Ask them to double check they're using a valid, unexpired government ID and that their selfie is well-lit and matches clearly, most verification failures through Stripe Identity come down to image quality. If it continues to fail, contact support with the guest's booking reference.

Check whether it's been manually blocked on the calendar, or whether a connected calendar (Turo, Google, or Apple) still shows a hold from a since-cancelled booking that hasn't synced back yet. Disconnecting and reconnecting the specific calendar usually resolves a stuck sync.
