Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of RentHive, a platform for managing a vehicle rental fleet, taking direct bookings, and handling guest communication, verification, and payments. By creating an account or using RentHive, you agree to these Terms.

RentHive provides software for fleet hosts, including a booking calendar, direct booking widget, guest messaging inbox, digital rental agreements, guest verification and rental protection, GPS tracking, and revenue reporting. RentHive is a software platform, not a rental company, an insurer, or a party to any rental agreement between a host and a guest.

You must provide accurate, complete information when creating a RentHive account, and keep it up to date. You’re responsible for all activity under your account and for keeping your login credentials secure. RentHive is intended for use by fleet owners and operators who are at least 18 years old.

RentHive is billed as a flat monthly subscription based on your plan tier, with no commission on direct bookings. Subscriptions renew automatically each billing period until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law.

• You’re responsible for the accuracy of your vehicle listings, pricing, and availability.
• You’re responsible for maintaining your vehicles in safe, roadworthy condition.
• You’re responsible for complying with local laws governing vehicle rental in your jurisdiction.
• You’re responsible for the rental and cancellation policy you set through the platform.

RentHive facilitates guest identity verification (via Stripe Identity), insurance verification (via Canopy Connect), and access to rental and commercial-grade coverage (via Rental Cover and GWS Insurance). These services are provided by third parties. RentHive makes this verification and coverage available as part of your subscription but is not the insurer and does not guarantee the outcome of any claim.

Guest payments and host payouts are processed through Stripe Connect. Funds are paid directly to your connected Stripe account, RentHive does not hold or take a cut of booking revenue. You’re responsible for complying with Stripe’s terms of service for your connected account.

You agree not to:

• Use RentHive for any unlawful purpose or to list a vehicle you don’t have the right to rent out.
• Misrepresent vehicle condition, availability, or pricing to guests.
• Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or reverse-engineer the platform.
• Use guest data collected through RentHive for any purpose outside of fulfilling a booking.

RentHive integrates with third-party services including Turo (calendar sync), Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, Stripe, Canopy Connect, and Smartcar. Your use of those services is subject to their own terms. RentHive isn’t responsible for outages, changes, or errors originating from a third-party service.

RentHive and its logo, design, and software are the property of RentHive. You retain ownership of the content you upload, such as vehicle photos and descriptions, and grant RentHive a license to display and process that content as needed to operate the platform.

RentHive is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We don’t guarantee the platform will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the fullest extent permitted by law, RentHive is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, including disputes between hosts and guests.

You may cancel your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these Terms, engages in fraudulent activity, or poses a risk to other users of the platform.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of RentHive after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.
